Parsippany, N.J. and Hopewell, Va., Feb. 1, 2017 — AdvanSix (NYSE: ASIX) said today that its Hopewell and Chesterfield, Va. facilities recently donated approximately $6,100 in firefighting gear to the Hopewell Fire Department. The gear includes bunker coats and pants for three firefighters to use on the job.

“AdvanSix appreciates all of the work that the local Hopewell Fire stations do to keep our community safe, especially the cooperative training and drills with our plant’s Emergency Brigade. These drills help ensure fast response to potential emergencies,” said Fred Harry, plant manager for the AdvanSix Hopewell facility. “This is just one small way we can support them as they do their jobs safely and successfully.”

Hopewell Fire Department Chief Donny Hunter was very appreciative of the most recent donation. “The gear is great quality and helps us tremendously from both a firefighting and budgetary perspective,” he said. “Working with AdvanSix, we continue to build a strong relationship that not only involves Emergency Response, but also provides more protection for the citizens of the communities we serve.”

AdvanSix, formerly part of Honeywell, has given more than $30,000 in equipment to the local fire department since 2011.
